Program Integration Analyst, Journeyman

Job Responsibilities:

Position directly supports the Tactical Airlift Program Office (PMA-207) Principal Deputy Program Manager (PDPM) and the C/KC-130 Hercules and/or the Fixed Wing Airlift/Operations Support Aircraft (VR/OSA) teams. Duties primarily involve serving as a Program Integration Analyst and supporting successful strategic planning, program integration efforts, future development, and program execution, as well as assisting the Program Manager and PDPM with development of cross-departmental PMA-207 strategic plans and initiatives. This position is responsible for taking an independent and proactive approach in looking across the program office to identify seams and issues that may be impeding program success, as well as developing strategies and initiating actions to resolve the identified issues or deficiencies that are internal/external to the PMA. Also, responsible for developing, updating, and managing the program’s key processes and tools and ensuring consistency of application across all three of the PMA’s departments. Additional tasking involves managing process controls and metrics to improve procurement planning efficiency and quality of acquisition/procurement documentation; ensuring consistent processes are firmly established, communicated, and utilized; facilitating the capture, documentation, and promulgation of lessons learned; and training/mentoring the PMA’s workforce to maximize process efficiencies. Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree and three (3) to ten (10) years of experience within DoD program/project analysis related activities. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: AA/AS degree with an additional two (2) years of experience OR a high school diploma/GED and an additional four (4) years of experience.

Armament/Weapons Support Equipment (AWSE) Engineering Technician

Armament/Weapons Support Equipment (AWSE) Engineering Technician

Job Responsibilities:

Duties include interpreting, analyzing, utilizing, evaluating, and recommending improvements to engineering drawings, schematics, parts lists, and specifications, while also assembling mechanical equipment accordingly. Performance of duties may occur in afloat shipboard environments, along with ashore flight-line, hangar, and AO shop locations. May be required to perform other tasks on an as-needed basis. Position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Requisition: ESI0046.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a military/technical trade school resulting in an Aviation Ordnanceman (AO) Navy Occupational Specialty (NOS) Code A420 or an Aircraft Ordnance Technician, Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 6531/6541 in the USMC.
  • Must have four (4) years of practical experience as an AO technician performing organizational/intermediate level operations and maintenance on AWSE.
  • Experience supporting the AWSE Program along with designation as an AO Quality Assurance Representative (QAR), Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI), or equivalent are highly desired.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate and understand technical requirements/procedures as they pertain to mechanical/electro-mechanical SE/AWSE, while also being capable of performing test and evaluation of SE items independently.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain licenses/certifications for US Navy forklifts (up to 20K lbs), Category III Overhead Hoist, Aircraft Maintenance Cranes, SE Tow Tractors, Powered Bomb Hoist, Powered Weapons Loaders, and an Airfield Operators License.
  • Be able to obtain and retain a DoD Secret level security clearance.

Electrician (Engineering Tech IV):

Electrician (Engineering Tech IV)

Job Responsibilities:

Duties will be performed in support of NAVAIR’s Propulsion and Power laboratories and will include: assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools; connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components; diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components; inspecting electrical systems to identify hazards and defects; installing or modifying equipment per applicable electrical codes and regulations; testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits; designing and planning layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures; directing and training junior electricians; and preparing cost and manpower estimates for the installation of new electrical systems. Position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Requisition: ESI0045.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a military or technical trade school in propulsion systems, electricity, electronics, avionics, or mechanics; or completion of at least 30 semester hours of related technical courses.
  • Must have at least ten (10) years of practical experience in a related field, with six (6) years of electrical installations and repairs.
  • Certified Electrician’s License and/or Navy Aviation Electrician’s Mate (AE) experience are highly desired.
  • Must be able to obtain/retain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
