Engineering Technician III/IV (Fuels)

Job Responsibilities:

Position will assist facility technicians and engineers in performing technical tasks during the installation, operation, maintenance, and test of aviation fueling and lubrication systems. Additionally, this position will provide technical support for equipment used to evaluate propulsion, electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical systems for military aircraft and associated test systems. Position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Requisition: ESI0042.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A high school diploma/GED and completion of a military or technical trade school in propulsion systems, electricity, electronics, avionics, or mechanics; or completion of at least 30 semester hours of related technical courses.
  • Must have at least six (6) years for a Tech III and ten (10) years for a Tech IV of practical experience in a related fuels/lubrication field with demonstrated experience in handling/transporting commercial or military aircraft fuels along with the operation/repair of associated fuel distribution and containment systems.
  • Navy/Marine Corps aviation shipboard fuels experience and Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Fuels (ABF) “A” School backgrounds are highly desired.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain/retain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
