P-8A Senior Operations Logistics Manager

Job Responsibilities:

Duties involve performing as a P-8A Poseidon Integrated Maintenance Concept (IMC) Coordinator, while assisting with the planning, development, incorporation, and evaluation of current and future P-8A aircraft depot level maintenance programs; providing guidance and support to other IPT members in performing logistics planning and management functions for onsite P-8A Depot operations; and supporting industrial and logistics maintenance planning policy and sustainment strategy development for depot level maintenance activities. Additional functions include coordinating and communicating P-8A depot scheduling, progress, issues, funding, and Over-and-Above recommendations between the commercial depot and applicable government/military entities and commands. Further, the IMC Coordinator will review the P-8A Depot Specification for improvements and/or modifications based on depot lessons learned; and provide recommended changes to the PMA-290 P-8A Depot Team and FST. Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BS/BA in a Business, Management, or relevant technical discipline; may substitute a HS diploma/GED with an additional 5 years of experience. An MS/MA degree or designation as a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) from the International Society of Logistics (SOLE) can be substituted for two (2) years of operational logistics or maintenance engineering experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of operational logistics support or logistics engineering experience within the Department of Defense. Must have worked in senior-level positions in the performance of logistics functions/tasking. 
  • Active Secret level DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties will be performed in support of NAVAIR’s Propulsion and Power laboratories and will include: assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools; connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components; diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components; inspecting electrical systems to identify hazards and defects; installing or modifying equipment per applicable electrical codes and regulations; testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits; designing and planning layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures; directing and training junior electricians; and preparing cost and manpower estimates for the installation of new electrical systems. Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Required a high school diploma/ GED and completion of a military or technical grade school in propulsion systems, electricity, electronics, avionics, or mechanics; or completion of at least 30 semester hours of related technical courses.
  • Must have at least ten (10) years of practical experience in a related field, with six (6) years of electrical installations and repairs.
  • Certified Electrician’s License and/or Navy Aviation Electrician’s Mate (AE) experience are highly desired.

Senior Logistics Manager

Job Responsibilities:

This position serves as an in-country (Australia) liaison for the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office (PMA-290) in support of the PMA-290 Joint Program Office (JPO), the U.S. Navy Supply Command (NAVSUP), and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).

In particular, this position supports spare equipment/component stock management and stock requirement activities between the U.S. Navy and RAAF for the P-8A Poseidon, to include: proactive identification of supportability issues for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) managed material; providing recommendations and guidance on Aviation Depot Level Repairable (AVDLR) components/spares; performing liaison duties for the JPO regarding fiscal and material management; engaging with other logistics departments and aviation depots to improve internal management and operations; initiating supply discrepancy reporting and subsequently monitoring/resolving issues; supplying inputs for development of obsolescence management strategies; tracking/advising on DLA (9B) stock postures and estimated delivery dates; generating lead time estimates and/or repair turnaround times (RTAT) for repairable assets/components (7R stock); following up on shipping delays and documentation releases; and assisting with RAAF documentation/requirement development/revisions. May be tasked to perform additional duties on an as-needed basis. Position is located in-country at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Australia. Requisition #: ESI 0126.

Qualifications & Requirements:
