Journeyman Logistician: Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Support

Job Responsibilities:

This position supports the NAWCAD Lakehurst Support Equipment (SE) Department, Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (APML) in performing Integrated Logistics/Product Support (ILS/IPS) related studies, analysis, and evaluations for the Common Aviation SE Program Office (PMA260) and associated Aviation SE programs. Duties involve performing tasks related to the sustainment and acquisition of NDI Equipment Commodities Common Support Equipment (CSE) including supporting ILS management and sustainment of various CSE and associated systems. Duties also include development and review of life cycle documentation (i.e. Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, User’s Logistics Support Summaries, Engineering Change Proposals, etc.); reviewing maintenance plans and Logistics Product Data; actively participating in logistics-related meetings and program/design reviews; analyzing in-service support equipment requirements to assist in identifying Fleet readiness/supply support issues and resolutions; develop/update/revise Technical Manuals; and analyze manpower, personnel, and training effectiveness to determine interim and follow-on training requirements. Qualifications & Requirements:  

• Requires a BA/BS degree and at least (6) years of experience in acquisition and sustainment logistics or engineering, with two (2) years’ experience performing logistics program management. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Eight (8) years of military experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree.  

• Must be a US citizen, have a valid state driver’s license, and must possess an active DoD Secret-level security clearance.  

• An SE-related background and experience with Naval Air Technical and Engineering Command (NATEC), Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS), NAVSUP One Touch Support, Web Federal Logistics Information System (WebFLIS), and Support Equipment Management System (SEMS) are highly desired.

Engineering Technician III – Facilities Technician:  

Job Responsibilities: 

Functions as a Facilities Technician in support of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Technical and Engineering Support Services. Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions. This technician performs at this level one or a combination of such typical duties as: 

• Constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions; 
• Following specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment. 
• Conducting various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment and records test data.
• Extracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data, identifying errors or, inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation. 
• Assisting in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; developing information concerning previous operational failures and modifications, and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information. 

Duties also include participating in aircraft moves as a wing walker, brake rider, or directs aircraft during towing, ground taxi, or ground turn operations; operates test equipment, simulators, instrumentation, and/or aircraft systems during testing in accordance with approved test plans or standard operating procedures; and coordinates maintenance activities or associated facility work projects to minimize impacts to facility customer utilization.

Duties may include performing other tasks on an as-needed basis. This is a nightshift position and is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Requisition# ESI 0204.  

Qualifications & Requirements: 

• Requires a High School diploma or GED and a valid US driver’s license.   

• Must be able to lift/move objects up to 50 lbs.  

• Must be able to pass and maintain U.S. Government drug screening standards.

ALRE Program Analyst, Journeyman

Job Responsibilities: 

Provides program/project support to the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Program Office (PMA-251). In supporting the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) and Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) Team, tasks include applying analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives; analyzing requirements, status, budget and schedules; and performing management, technical, or business case analyses. Other duties may include collecting, completing, organizing, and interpreting data relating to aircraft/project acquisition and product programs; tracking program/project status and schedules; and applying government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management. Some travel will be required. Positional duties may include other tasks on an as-needed basis. Position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD and includes a hybrid (in-office and telework) work environment. Senior Operations Logistics Manager 

Job Responsibilities: 

Duties include serving as a senior-level logistician on the P-8A Mission Systems Team assisting with Integrated Logistics/Product Support (ILS/IPS) and lifecycle management evolutions while supporting the APML and associated DAPMLs. Responsible for managing and coordinating the execution of ILS/IPS-related analysis, ECP/TD support, requirements definition, planning, development, integration, implementation, and management efforts as they apply to domestic, RAAF Joint Program Office, and FMS P-8A in-service aircraft, weapon systems, training, and/or SE programs. Specific mission systemsinclude IFFI, EWSP, EO/IR, and ESM. Duties may also include development of PowerPoint slides and supporting logistics presentations. Position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD, and includes a hybrid work environment (telework and in-office). Qualifications & Requirements:  

• Requires a bachelor’s degree, ten (10) years’ experience in operational logistics and/or maintenance engineering, and four (4) years of supervising three or more logisticians in support of an acquisition or operational command. 

• ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional five (5) years of relevant experience in operational logistics or maintenance engineering can be substituted for a BS/BA degree; additionally, an MS/MA degree or designation as a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) from the International Society of Logistics (SOLE) may be substituted for two (2) years of required logistics experience.

Job Responsibilities: 

Provides direct support to NAWCAD by developing and evaluating Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) program plans and requirements for Naval Aviation aircraft and support systems. Performs R&M analyses to support predictions, allocations, risk assessments, and metrics/datadevelopment, including Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI), testability analyses, FMEA/FMECA, and Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs). Supports the development and implementation of platform health management capabilities and reviews Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to assess PHM impacts. Participates in Reliability Control Boards (RCBs), Failure Review Boards (FRBs), BIT Review Boards (BRBs), and software and hardware design improvement activities. NRL Electronics Technician

Job Responsibilities: 

This position supports the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Advanced Techniques Branch, Digital Technologies Section of the Tactical Electronic Warfare Division (TEWD). Responsibilities include providing engineering support, maintenance, and testing services necessary to conduct EW Simulation research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E). Duties involve assisting in the electrical and mechanical design, development, operation, and maintenance of Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) and Radio Frequency (RF) missile simulators and related equipment. Other tasks may involve interpreting and generating engineering data, design specifications, schematics, and installation drawings to support design, modification, and installation of airborne and land-based simulators and data collection devices. Functions also include conducting engineering analysis and performance evaluations of EW systems. Some travel will be required. May be tasked to perform additional duties on an as-needed basis. Position located at Naval Research Laboratory, Washington DC. Qualifications & Requirements: 

• Position requires an Associate Degree from a technical training school. Allowable Substitution: completion of a military technical training school in electronics or avionics. 

• Must have ten (10) years of experience in the design, fabrication, and installation of EW systems and related electrical wiring, cables, harnesses, connectors, and fiberoptic interfaces, as well as troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing circuit boards and their sub-components on military or commercial aircraft.

PMA260 Program Analyst, Journeyman 

Job Responsibilities: 

Position reports directly to the Common Aviation Support Equipment Program Office (PMA260) Deputy Acquisition Lead serving as an acquisition analyst supporting the Common Ground Support Equipment (CGSE) Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL). Position will work closely with the PMA260 Acquisition, Procurement, and Financial Management teams, as well as program managers and other PMA personnel. Supports the development of program guidance, execution of acquisition strategies, and management of the procurement lifecycle from planning to contract award and follow-on modifications. Serves as the primary liaison between the IPTL, Procurement team/Contract Specialist, Business Financial Manager (BFM), and the Acquisition team to help improve the quality and efficiency of the procurement process across the PMA, as well as increase procurement efficiencies, decrease cycle time, execute Acquisition Strategies, drive pre-award competitive procurement conversations, and improve Support Equipment delivery timeliness to the Fleet. Engineering Technician

Job Responsibilities:

Position provides maintenance and technical support for NAVAIR’s Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) branch. Duties include coordinating facility maintenance activities or associated facility work projects. Tasks involve operating, maintaining, and coordinating operations of the aircraft hangar, anechoic chamber facility equipment, and aircraft ground support equipment to include electrical service, hydraulic carts, air or liquid cooling carts, fuel tank inerting/purging equipment, forklifts, aircraft ground handling, and hoisting operations. Additional responsibilities include operating test equipment, facilities, and/or aircraft systems during tests, ensuring compliance, and conducting tests in accordance with approved test plans or standard operating procedures.
