Job Responsibilities:

Position directly assists the P-8A Poseidon Integration Systems Test Laboratory (PISTL) with both network/systems administration and technical support. Duties include maintaining/administering laboratory specific and P-8A mission computer systems hardware, software, information systems & networks. Performs Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans, as required. Maintains, installs, upgrades and configures data systems using Linux, administers operating systems, and maintains basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups. Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BS degree from an accredited institution; allowable substitutions include an AS degree with an additional 2 years of experience OR a HS diploma/GED with an additional 4 years of experience.
  • Also requires the completion of a military technical school or civilian trade school.
  • At least four (4) years of systems administration, programming, development, integration, testing, training, and/or operational experience within the Department of the Defense. Experience with P-3C Orion or P-8A Poseidon aircraft/laboratory mission systems/software is highly desired.
  • Must have Linux experience and a current Security + certification. Additional experience in electrical connector, wire repair, and Fiber Optic cable fabrication/repair is highly desired.

This position will play a crucial role in supporting the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and ensuring the effective management of the PMD CSS PM Support contract. Specific duties, such as documentation and reporting, will include assisting in the preparation and maintenance of contract documentation, as well as ensuring all records are up-to-date and complete and support the preparation of performance reports.
