Job Responsibilities:

Position is within the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) Program Office’s (PMA-290) Joint Program Office (JPO) in support of U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) P-8A Poseidon Cooperative Program initiatives. Tasking will primarily include assisting with the development, execution, modification, and issue resolution of provisioning and supply support activities while working within the Navy Supply System and NAVSUP-WSS tools/databases. Position will process transactions using MILSTRIP, create part number purchases, process receipts, modify Purchase Requisitions/Orders, and identify/resolve supply support deficiencies. Also, duties will involve the generation of Memorandums of Understanding/Agreement (MOU/MOA) and desk guides/handbooks. In addition, the position will be responsible for the performance of various tasks related to acquisition, Integrated Logistics/Product Support (ILS/IPS), supply support, sustainment, and other life-cycle management evolutions for RAAF P-8A aircraft and mission systems. Due to time zone differences with RAAF representatives in Australia, afterhours work is sometimes required and possibly international travel. Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires an MS/MA degree, a BS/BA and an additional four (4) years of relevant experience, or a HS Diploma/GED and an additional ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Must have ten (10) years of logistics acquisition, sustainment, and/or aviation maintenance experience.
  • In-depth familiarity with Navy-ERP, MILSTRIP, LMS21, FedMall, One Touch Support, PDREP, PIEE, and other Navy Supply System related tools/databases is highly desired.

P-8A Poseidon Lab Systems Administrator/Technician

P-8A Poseidon Lab Systems Administrator/Technician

Job Responsibilities:

Position directly assists the P-8A Poseidon Integration Systems Test Laboratory (PISTL) with both network/systems administration and technical support. Duties include maintaining/administering laboratory specific and P-8A mission computer systems hardware, software, information systems & networks. Performs Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans, as required. Maintains, installs, upgrades and configures data systems using Linux, administers operating systems, and maintains basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups. Technical duties involve applying engineering techniques and principles to develop, design, fabricate, modify, install, test, evaluate, and/or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for the P-8A PISTL. Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares, or applies engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures. Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s of Science from an accredited institution; allowable substitutions include an AS degree with an additional 2 years of experience OR a HS diploma/GED with an additional 4 years of experience.
  • Also requires the completion of a military technical school or civilian trade school.
  • At least six (6) years of systems administration, programming, development, integration, testing, training, and/or operational experience within the Department of the Defense. Experience with P-3C Orion or P-8A Poseidon aircraft/laboratory mission systems/software is highly desired.

Job Responsibilities:

Position will perform technical support and operations for NAVAIR’s Electromagnetic Environmental Effects branch. Will conduct standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations and follow standard work methods on recurring assignments. Responsibilities include operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining simulation/high voltage equipment and components used to perform electromagnetic pulse, lightning, electro-static discharge, p-static, or similar phenomena test and evaluation. Will operate and maintain diagnostic and data collection systems used to monitor electromagnetic pulse, lightning, electro-static discharge, p-static systems performance. Other duties involve following specific instructions to assemble/construct simple/standard equipment or parts and service/repair simple instruments or equipment. May conduct a variety of tests using established methods, prepare test specimens, adjust/operate equipment, record test data, and note deviations resulting from equipment malfunction/observational errors.
