Electrical Engineer, Junior

Job Responsibilities:

This position will provide technical support to the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Branch. Responsibilities include applying engineering principles to research, design, develop, test, and/or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. This position involves analyzing designs, developing, implementing, testing, and/or evaluating software related to engineering or functional requirements of simulation systems, associated support systems, and/or management information systems. May be required to perform other tasks on an as-needed basis. Position is on-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Requisition: ESI0059.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires a BS degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited ABET college or university; OR an AA/AS Degree plus an additional four (4) years of related experience; OR a HS diploma/GED with an additional six (6) years of related experience may be substituted for the BS degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, possess a valid US driver’s license, pass a drug screening test according to U.S. Government standards, and obtain and retain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes and equivalent equipment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is highly desired.
