Senior Operations Logistics Manager

Job Responsibilities:

Functions as a senior-level logistician in support of the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft Program Office’s (PMA-290) P-8A Poseidon Ground Station (PGS) Integrated Product Team. Tasking includes Integrated Logistics/Product Support (ILS/IPS), supply support, sustainment, program management, acquisition, and other life-cycle management evolutions for the acquisition, fielding, support, and sustainment of PGSs. Positional duties involve using DoW applications to access data, review digital logistics products, and support configuration-controlled sustainment planning; review and analyze action items and reports; collaborate with the IPT to analyze PGS COAs and resolutions for Fleet hardware and maintenance issues; coordinate and manage monthly teleconference calls; assist in the business case analysis for product support backlogs; support risk analysis efforts; and assist with ECP packageswhile focusing on lifecycle management and sustainment planning. Other duties include supporting development, implementation, and updates to the PGS maintenance concept (O, I, D-Levels), maintenance requirements, maintenance plan/planning, and associated resources;  and managing actions, procedures, and techniques necessary to determine requirements to acquire, catalog, receive, store, transfer, issue and dispose of PGS consumable/repairable spare parts and supplies. Duties may include performing other tasks on an as-needed basis. Position is located at NASPatuxent River, MD, and includes a hybrid work environment (telework and in-office). Requisition# ESI 0170.

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Requires an MA/MS degree, ten (10) years’ experience in operational logistics and/or maintenance engineering, and four (4) years of supervising three or more logisticians in support of an acquisition or operational command.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional four (4) years of relevant experience in operational logistics or maintenance engineering and a BS/BA degree can be substituted for a Master’s degree; additionally, an additional ten (10) years of qualified experience and a HS Diploma/GED can be substituted for a Master’s degree.
  • Previous experience with P-8A Poseidon and/or P-3C Orionaircraft acquisition logistics and/or operational maintenance activities is highly desired.  
  • Must be a US citizen, have a valid state driver’s license, and be able to obtain/retain an active DoD Secret-level security clearance.
  • Salary range: $90K to $115K, negotiable
