P-8A Poseidon Lab Technician
Job Responsibilities:
Duties include applying engineering techniques, principles, and precedents to develop, design, fabricate, modify, install, test, evaluate, and/or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for the P-8A Poseidon Integrated Systems Test Laboratory (PISTL). Also, reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares, and/or applies engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures. Organizes, analyzes, and prepares reports or presentations of technical data and information. Plans and performs tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compiles, processes, reduces, and/or analyzes test data results. Performs Technical Directive (TD) and Airframe Change (AFC) wiring installations in laboratories and on Fleet aircraft, as required. Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least four (4) years of design, development, fabrication, integration, installation, modification, testing, training, and/or operational experience with aircraft avionics/electronics systems or similar.
- Also requires the completion of a military technical school or civilian trade school or completion of 30 semester hours in a technical discipline at an accredited college.
- Experience with P-3C Orion or P-8A Poseidon aircraft/laboratory mission systems hardware/software is highly desired.
- Experience in electrical connector, wire repair, and Fiber Optic cable fabrication/repair is highly desired.
- Requires an Active Top Secret level DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
