Journeyman Logistician

Job Responsibilities:

This position supports the NAWCAD Lakehurst Support Equipment (SE) Department in performing Integrated Logistics/Product Support (ILS/IPS) for the CommonAviation SE Program Office (PMA260). Tasks include analyzing and coordinating the ongoing logistical functions of Navy SE; providing full life cycle support of Hydraulics Common SE (CSE), including the acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, sustainment, and final disposal of resources; generating resolutions to CSE problems/issues; reviewing and preparing logistics and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and related documentation; and attending program/technical meetings. Other tasks include obtaining/compiling information, defining problems, and developing recommendations for Fleet support issues; researching supply support and DMSMS/Obsolescence issues; developing recommendations for corrective actions; generating required documentation to support updatingthe supply system; and reviewing, editing, and updating technical manuals as a result of Technical Publication Deficiency Reports (TPDR), Engineering Investigations (EI), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP). Positional duties may include other tasks on an as-needed basis. Some travel will be required. Position located in Lakehurst, NJ, and some telework may be authorized on a case-by-case basis. Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree and at least (6) years of experience in acquisition and sustainment logistics or engineering, with two (2) years’ experience performing logistics program management. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Eight (8) years of military experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree. 
  • Must be a US citizen, have a valid state driver’s license, and must possess an active DoD Secret-level security clearance. 
  • An SE-related background and experience with Naval Air Technical and Engineering Command (NATEC), Joint Deficiency Reporting System (JDRS), NAVSUP One Touch Support, Web Federal Logistics Information System (WebFLIS), and Support Equipment Management System (SEMS) are highly desired. 
  • Military veterans and former government employees with aviation SE and/or logistics support experience are highly encouraged to apply.
