Minotaur Mission System Logistician:
Position requires at least six (6) years of acquisition/operational logistics support experience and a BS/BA degree; an additional five (5) years of logistics experience may be substituted for the BS/BA degree. Backgrounds in aviation mission systems are highly desired. Specific duties include providing Integrated Logistics/Product Support (ILS/IPS) services to the Minotaur Mission System IPT within PMA-290. Additionally, performs various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, fielding, and improvement of the Minotaur Mission System for multiple DoD customers. Supports logistics and maintainability program efforts with logistics and maintenance control organizations on issues such as: technical evaluation and identification of logistics requirements and resources; development of logistics support/maintainability programs or plans; systems acquisition requirements analysis; budgetary or financial analysis and control; life cycle cost analysis and control; weapons systems hardware/software standardization and compatibility; ILS/Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program analysis. Armament/Weapons Support Equipment (AWSE) Engineering Technician:
Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a military/technical trade school resulting in an Aviation Ordnanceman (AO) Navy Occupational Specialty (NOS) Code A420 or an Aircraft Ordnance Technician, Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 6531 in the USMC. Must have four (4) years of practical experience as an AO technician performing organizational/intermediate level operations and maintenance on AWSE. Experience supporting the AWSE Program along with designation as an AO Quality Assurance Representative (QAR), Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI), or equivalent are highly desired. Duties include interpreting, analyzing, utilizing, evaluating, and recommending improvements to engineering drawings, schematics, parts lists, and specifications, while also assembling mechanical equipment accordingly. Must be able to clearly communicate and understand technical requirements/procedures as they pertain to mechanical/electro-mechanical SE/AWSE, while also being capable of performing test and evaluation of SE items independently. Performance of duties may occur in afloat shipboard environments, along with ashore flight-line, hangar, and AO shop locations. Additionally, must possess or be able to obtain licenses/certifications for US Navy forklifts (up to 20K lbs), Category III Overhead Hoist, Aircraft Maintenance Cranes, SE Tow Tractors, Powered Bomb Hoist, Powered Weapons Loaders, and an Airfield Operators License. MPRA Logistics Support:
Requires a BS/BA and at least three (3) years of experience in Defense Life-Cycle Acquisition logistics; one (1) additional year of experience may be substituted for a BS/BA degree. Proficiency in MS Word/Excel and knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Configuration Management (CM) and Technical Directives (TD) are required. Performs various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of P-8A weapon systems supportability and maintainability. Duties include collecting, compiling, analyzing, investigating, researching, and/or applying logistics, maintenance, acquisition, and/or financial data and information. Additionally, performs non-routine administrative and analytical tasks within the P-8A IPT, including logistics, CM, and TD support. Position also entails developing and reviewing NAVAIRINST 4130 Configuration Control Board Documents, as well as drafting, reviewing, and storing TDs. Electrician (Engineering Tech IV):
Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a military or technical trade school in propulsion systems, electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, or armaments/ordnance; or completion of at least 30 semester hours of related technical courses. Must have at least ten (10) years of practical experience in a related field, with eight (8) years of electrical installations and repairs. Certified Electrician's License and/or Navy Aviation Electrician's Mate (AE) experience are highly desired. Duties will be performed in support of NAVAIR's Propulsion and Power labs and will include: assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools; connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components; diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components; inspecting electrical systems to identify hazards and defects; installing or modifying equipment per applicable electrical codes and regulations; testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits; designing and planning layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures; directing and training junior electricians; and preparing cost and manpower estimates for the installation of new electrical systems. MPRA Product Support Logistician:
Position requires a BS/BA and at least six (6) years of experience in operational logistics support/maintenance engineering; a MS/MA degree may be substituted for two (2) years of operations logistics experience. Operational MPRA experience is highly desired. Primary function is support the EP-3E Aires DAPML in delivering Optimal Sustained Mission Capability Readiness to the EP-3E Fleet. Positional duties include: continuously monitoring Fleet Readiness degraders and coordinating proactive mitigating actions; monitoring/managing EP-3E Depot initiatives with other DAPMLs; liaising repairables/consumables with NAVSUP and DLA; reviewing CM documentation for accuracy and wholeness; maintaining an active technical publications tracker, reviewing at least monthly, and coordinating priorities with Class Desk and IPT Lead(s); monitoring the DMSMS Program and implementing necessary mitigation steps; monitoring training program and EP-3E Master Training Plan; providing budget execution and future requirements estimates to APML and IPT Lead(s); as well as assisting with other ILS/IPS needs for the EP-3E Fleet. MPRA Engineering/Electronic Technician:
Candidate requires a High School diploma or GED, along with completion of a technical school; trade school; advanced armed services technical school curriculum; course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology; or completion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum. Additionally, at least four (4) years of experience is required performing functions in an electronics/avionics field, where at least 1 year of experience shall have involved engineering/technical functions within naval aircraft weapons systems. Must also possess electrical connector and wire repair knowledge and proficiency. Candidate will apply engineering techniques, principles and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, and/or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or components. Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares or applies engineering, technical or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures. Organizes, analyzes, and prepares reports or presentations of technical data and information. Plans and performs tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compiles, processes, reduces, or analyzes test data results. Performs Technical Directive (TD) and Airframe Change (AFC) wiring installations in laboratories and on fleet aircraft. Specific technical and maintenance experience with MPRA platforms such as P-8A Poseidon, and/or the MQ-4C Triton is required. Additional experience in network configuration/ troubleshooting and Fiber Optic cable fabrication/repair is highly desired. Engineering Tech I:
Candidate requires High School diploma or equivalent. Must demonstrate the ability to assist technicians and engineers in the testing, repair, and modification of common and peculiar Support Equipment (SE) for DoD aircraft. Must be proficient in the use of common shop tools and test equipment; and demonstrate the ability to use Microsoft Office products to manage databases and generate basic test documents. Physical activities include recurring walking, kneeling, light to heavy lifting (>35 lbs.), and/or climbing. Candidate will perform simple routine tasks under close supervision and/or from detailed procedures. Assists technicians in performing planned maintenance, corrosion treatment and prevention measures on SE, tools, and other equipment. Fabricates tool container layouts to include silhouetting, manufacturing foam inlays, stenciling, and etching. Conducts and documents daily tool inventories, inspects and maintains shop PPE. Candidate must have a valid state issued driver's license. Candidate will be trained in the operation of a standard forklift and overhead crane and must be able to obtain applicable SE licenses in support of daily activities. Performs custodial duties as required. Travel is anticipated to be approximately 120 hours per year. Sr. Electrical Engineer:
Candidate requires a BS degree in electrical engineering from an accredited ABET college or university. Must have at least 8 years of experience supporting RDT&E programs for military aircraft/weapon systems, including 6 years performing in the function areas described below. Must have demonstrated experience directing, monitoring, and/or participating in the installation, configuration, calibration, and operation of engine test systems, environmental chambers, associated instrumentation, and/or data acquisition systems used for testing propulsion and electrical power systems. Prior DoD acquisition work experience is preferred. The candidate should be capable of managing programs including writing proposals, developing program plans, and providing briefing material. Functions involve applying engineering principles to modify and upgrade laboratory electrical and instrumentation systems in support of power and propulsion RDT&E programs. Prepares procurement specification inputs, interface drawings, installation design packages, and calibration procedures to accommodate unique test requirements. Oversees systems modifications, installation, integration, and checkout functions. Performs test planning, data collection, and test data analysis. Candidate requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited ABET college or university. Must have at least 4 years of experience supporting RDT&E programs for military aircraft/weapon systems, including 2 years planning, directing, and/or participating in aircraft and laboratory testing. Functions entail providing support for electrical power quality testing and evaluation, including voltage and frequency transients/modulation, voltage distortion, and power interruption on various aircraft, shipboard, ground vehicle, and vendor prototype components and equipment. Additionally, the candidate will interface test articles with programmable power supplies and data acquisition equipment to conduct power quality tests, followed by analysis of test article responses for compliance with MIL-SPECS/MIL-STDs. In particular, candidate must have experience with MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, and FAA RTCA DO-160. Position also requires knowledge of test planning, data collection, data analysis, test report writing, and presentation of results. Further requirements include specialized knowledge and experience in the design, installation, operation, calibration, maintenance and repair of power quality test facilities, associated equipment, and their control systems. Requires a BS or BA degree in Computer Science or related technical specialty; OR a HS diploma/GED AND an additional eight (8) years of combined education/experience working within a relevant technical field. Basic experience includes at least three (3) years of computer systems related support and requires certifications in Security+ CE (or higher) and in at least one Microsoft Operating System (OS) within 180 days of employment. Additionally, knowledge and skills relating to Windows Server 2016/Windows 10 and Active directory are essential, along with ability to address service requests, routine server maintenance, and server consolidation. Additionally, this position necessitates having knowledge in Windows Server OS Security directives, DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), and Track-IT or other Helpdesk Applications. Positional duties involve providing systems administration support to maintain closed-loop network functionality; performing data backup, storage, and archiving routines; developing and submitting inputs to software user documentation; complying with NAVAIR information security guidelines; supporting configuration management requirements; and operating computers, network servers, backup storage devices, and other peripheral equipment. Junior Engineer (Electrical):
Candidate requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Assists senior engineers and technicians in the investigation, analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, test, and/or evaluation of military aviation support equipment (SE) and associated support systems. Supports engineers and technicians in the test, repair, and modification of common and peculiar SE for Naval aircraft and weapon systems. Participates in requirements and performance evaluation reviews, as well as assists in preparing engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Performs functions such as system integration testing, government acceptance testing, and acquisition support with limited supervision. Must be familiar with the use of common shop tools and test equipment. Previous experience in an electrical systems or manufacturing environment is highly desired. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products in order to manage databases and generate basic test documents. Required physical activities include recurring walking, stooping, bending, light to heavy lifting (>35 lbs.), and climbing. Armament/Weapons Support Equipment Engineering-Technician:
Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a military or technical trade school; or completion of at least 30 semester hours of technical or science related courses. Requires twelve (12) years of practical experience as an SE/AWSE mechanic/technician, including six (6) years performing installation of armament and/or weapons equipment. Class C Ordnance Handler certification is required. Candidate must be able to interpret, analyze, utilize, evaluate, and recommend improvements to engineering drawings, schematics, parts lists, and specifications, while also being able to assemble mechanical equipment accordingly. Must be able to clearly communicate and understand technical requirements/procedures as they pertain to mechanical/electro-mechanical SE/AWSE, while also being capable of performing test and evaluation of SE items independently. Machine shop and fabrication experience is preferred, to include knowledge of manual and CNC end-mills (operator only), manual lathe, horizontal and vertical band saw, drill press, grinders, pneumatic swaging machine, GMAW (MIG), SMAW (Stick) Welding, and plasma cutting. Must be able to obtain and retain certifications/licenses for the following categories: CAT III (Non-Cab) Crane; Aircraft Maintenance Cranes; SE Tow Tractors; Powered Bomb Hoist; Powered Weapons Loaders; Forklift up to 20,000 lbs; and an Airfield Operators License.
