Logistician, Journeyman

Job Responsibilities:

Position directly supports the Common Aviation Support Equipment Program Office (PMA260). Will perform tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems. Duties involve supporting the development of Facility Requirements Documents, program plans, schedules, budgets, and funding for the execution of system installations; developing/reviewing program technical documentation for logistics/ maintenance issues and requirements; utilizing Acquisition Management System to monitor and manage procurements/actions/milestones, create/track Procurement Initiation Documents, and monitor contract/funding modification actions; and recommending contract execution strategies, past performance evaluations, and cost analysis assessments. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Site Activation Planning Team, Install Engineering Team, Fleet Support Team, Type Commander, Integrated Product Teams, Business Financial Managers, PMS 312/PMS 378, NAVSEA, and contractors on systems implementation plans. Will participate in multiple meetings/teleconferences. Tasks also include collecting, compiling, analyzing, investigating, researching, and/or applying logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information. Positional duties may include other tasks on an as-needed basis. Position is located at NAS Patuxent River, MD, and some telework may be authorized on a case-by-case basis. Requisition: ESI0152.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Requires an BA/BS degree and at least (3) three years of experience in defense lifecycle acquisition logistics, OR an AA/AS degree with an additional (4) four years of experience, OR a HS diploma/GED and an additional six (6) years of experience.
  • Must be a US citizen, possess a valid state driver’s license, and possess an active DoD Secret-level security clearance.
