MPRA System Specialist/Technician
Job Responsibilities:
Positional duties involve applying engineering techniques and principles to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, and/or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft Systems Test Integration Lab. Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares, or applies engineering, technical, or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures. Plans and performs tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compiles, processes, reduces, or analyzes test data results. Performs Technical Directive (TD) and Airframe Change (AFC) wiring installations in laboratories and on Fleet aircraft. Position is located in Patuxent River, MD. Requisition #2023-032.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A BS degree and 5 years of development, integration, testing, training, and/or operational experience with P-3C Orion and P-8A Poseidon aircraft/laboratory mission systems/software. Allowable substitutions: an AS degree with an additional 2 years of experience OR an additional 5 years of experience may be substituted for a BS degree.
- Specific technical and maintenance experience with MPRA platforms and/or laboratories such as the P-8A Poseidon, P-3C Orion, and/or the MQ-4C Triton is required.
- Additional experience in network configuration/ troubleshooting and Fiber Optic cable fabrication/repair is highly desired.
- Must be able to obtain/retain a Top Secret level DoD security clearance.
